(1) WHY SHOULD I RENT FROM YOU? – It’s easy, safe, and reliable.  You won’t have to worry about lost or damaged luggage.  You won’t have to pay additional baggage fees.  You won’t have to drag cribs and car seats through the airport.  Plus, compared to car rental companies, Boise Baby Gear offers better equipment at better prices.  Car rental companies typically can’t tell you ahead of time what kind of car seat you'll get, what kind of condition it will be in, or even if it wlil be the size and model that you ordered.  Hotels sometimes “run out” of cribs for their guests’ use or provide substandard equipment.  By contrast, Boise Baby Gear is a small, local, and responsive company that specializes in providing high-quality products at fair prices.  We will work with you to meet your needs and to answer any questions that may crop up.  We will immediately address any problems and help ensure that your child has a safe and comfortable experience.

(2) HOW DO I KNOW THE EQUIPMENT IS SAFE? -- Boise Baby Gear offers great equipment in excellent condition.  We buy all of our car seats brand new.  That way, we can be sure that each car seat comes complete with manuals and all necessary parts.  We register our car seats and booster seats with the manufacturer to help ensure that we are aware of any potential recalls or upgrades.  If a car seat or booster seat is involved in an accident, we will remove it from our inventory.  Boise Baby Gear inspects and cleans its equipment after each rental to ensure that it remains in good repair.  The cleaning products we use are made of environmentally-friendly, 100% plant-based fibers and a gentle cleansing liquid made with 99% naturally-derived ingredients including purified water.  They are hypoallergenic, chlorine, alcohol, dye, paraben, and phthalate free.

(3) DOES BOISE BABY GEAR INSTALL CAR SEATS OR BOOSTER SEATS? -- No.  Boise Baby Gear will deliver car seats and booster seats to you and provide a copy of the manufacturer's installation and instruction manual.  Boise Baby Gear may also refer you to instructional videos maintained on the car seats’ manufacturers’ website.  Upon request, Boise Baby Gear will use its best efforts to refer you to a local hospital or fire station for help with installation.  Boise Baby Gear will be happy to assist you with removing car seats and booster seats at the end of a rental period.

(4) DOES BOISE BABY GEAR HELP SET UP EQUIPMENT OTHER THAN CAR SEATS AND BOOSTER SEATS? -- Yes.  Boise Baby Gear wants to make your trip to Boise as easy as possible.  If you need help setting up or using a crib, stroller, Bob Revolution Jogger, etc., we're happy to help.

(5) CAN I PAY WITH CASH, A CHECK, OR VENMO? -- Sure!  But all orders must be secured with a Visa, Master Card, or Discover credit card.  We can also swipe your credit card at the time of delivery if you prefer.  Please do not submit credit card information online.

(6) IS THERE A MINIMUM DOLLAR AMOUNT OR NUMBER OF DAYS FOR RENTALS? -- No.  You can rent for as many or as few days as you like.

(7) DO I HAVE TO PAY SALES TAX WHEN I RENT EQUIPMENT FROM BOISE BABY GEAR? – Yes.  Pursuant to Idaho Code § 63-3608, the rental of tangible personal property for consideration is a “purchase” subject to a 6% sales tax.

(8) HOW DO I PLACE AN ORDER? -- Please click on the "Store" tab at the top of our website.  From there, you can fill out and submit the Order Form found at the bottom of that page.  Please do not submit credit card information online.  Once we receive your order, we will call you and finalize the details of your order including your prefered method of payment.  At that time, we would also be happy to answer any lingering questions that you may have. 

(9) DO I NEED TO BE PRESENT AT THE TIME OF EQUIPMENT DELIVERY? -- Boise Baby Gear recommends that you be present at the time of delivery to verify that all equipment is in satisfactory condition and that your order is accurately filled.  However, if you prefer, on a case-by-case basis we can arrange to deliver the equipment to another person or place of your choosing.

(10) DO I NEED TO BE PRESENT AT THE TIME OF EQUIPMENT RETURN? -- No.  Boise Baby Gear can retrieve rental equipment from your hotel, car rental company, or any reasonable location.  Please note, though, that customers bear the risk of loss, damage, and/or additional rental fees if something goes wrong.

(11) WHAT IS THE LAW IN IDAHO REGARDING CHILDREN AND CAR SEATS? – For legal advice, you must consult a lawyer.  For general information, you may also wish to consult the Idaho Department of Transportation's website.

(12) IS THERE A DELIVERY CHARGE?  -- Yes.  One-time delivery and pickup charges range from $5.00 for most locations in Ada County, $7.00 for the Boise Airport, and $10.00 for any location in Ada County west of Five Mile Road.  Deliveries outside of Ada County may be arranged on a case-by-case basis subject to higher rates.

(13) DOES BOISE BABY GEAR DELIVER TO THE BOISE AIRPORT? -- Yes.  Give us your flight number and let us know when you’re scheduled to arrive.  We can follow your flight online and make any necessary adjustments for changes to your ETA.  We can meet you at baggage claim, at your car rental company, at your hotel, or at your vacation rental.

(14) IS BOISE BABY GEAR AVAILABLE 24 HOURS A DAY? -- Orders may be placed through this website twenty-four hours a day and customers may contact us by telephone, text, or email at any time in the event of an emergency or safety-related issue.  Early-morning, or evening deliveries and pickups are a common practice for us and often work better with our schedules.  Additional delivery fees may apply between 10:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.

(15) WHAT IF I NEED SOMETHING THAT'S NOT LISTED ON YOUR WEB SITE? – Please call us and ask.  We can probably work something out.  We welcome the challenge since your question may help us become more responsive to our future customers' needs.

(17) DO YOU KNOW THAT KID IN THE UPPER-LEFTHAND CORNER OF YOUR WEB SITE?  -- Yes, that's our son.  Since his arrival in 2008, we’ve become much more aware of the unique challenges faced by traveling parents.  We've rented car seats and cribs in Washington DC and Raleigh, North Carolina and that's what got us thinking about starting our own business in Boise.  Hopefully, we can help make other parents' trips as hassle-free as ours were!

Boise Baby Gear was created by parents in cooperation with lots of other parents.  We all live and work in Boise and we truly hope that you enjoy our community as much as we do.  We've also traveled across the country with children.  So we know what you're going through.  We created Boise Baby Gear in an effort to help you get here, enjoy the city, and get home with as little hassle, physical exertion, stress, and baggage fees as possible.  If there is anything we can do to make your trip to Boise more convenient and enjoyable please let us know!

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF ALL RENTALS:
  
THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS DEFINE THE CONTRACTUAL RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN BOISE BABY GEAR, LLC, AND ITS CUSTOMERS.  BE SURE TO READ THEM AND DISCUSS THEM WITH ANY PERSON OF YOUR CHOOSING BEFORE PLACING AN ORDER!

As used herein, "Boise Baby Gear" means Boise Baby Gear, LLC, its owners, members, affiliates, successors and assigns.  "Customer" or "Customers" means any person or entity that rents, purchases, or otherwise acquires or uses any item provided by Boise Baby Gear.  "Equipment" means any item rented, sold, or otherwise provided by Boise Baby Gear.  "Rental Term" means any rental term created by the placing and confirming of any order with Boise Baby Gear, LLC.

Boise Baby Gear is a service provider but does not hold itself out as an expert in selecting the appropriate Equipment for any Customer.  Boise Baby Gear does not warrant or guarantee the fitness for a particular use of any item in its inventory.

Customers warrant that they have the lawful ability and right to authorize charges to the credit card number provided to secure each and every Order placed with Boise Baby Gear.  Customers agree that upon confirmation of an Order, Boise Baby Gear may and shall charge the credit card number provided by Customers for the full amount due under the Rental Term.  Customers also agree that Boise Baby Gear may charge the credit card number for any and all damages, repairs, fees, replacement costs, and/or liquidated damages provides for in these Terms and Conditions.

Customers agree to pay Sales Tax, as required by Idaho law, on all Equipment rentals and/or sales.

BOISE BABY GEAR WILL NOT INSTALL OR HELP INSTALL ANY CAR SEAT OR BOOSTER SEAT.  Upon request, Boise Baby Gear will manuals, referrals to manufacturers’ instructional videos, and/or will provide contact information for hospitals and/or fire stations that may assist with car seat installation.

Boise Baby Gear will deliver and retrieve all Equipment.  A modest delivery/removal fee applies, depending on location.  Please see the Frequently Asked Questions page for more information.  If practical, and in its sole discretion, Boise Baby Gear may help set up Equipment other than car seats and booster seats.

Boise Baby Gear will take all reasonable steps to ensure that its Equipment is delivered to its Customers in a clean and properly-functioning condition.  Customers agree to inspect all Equipment upon receipt and immediately notify Boise Baby Gear of any problems or defects.  It is agreed that any failure by Customers to do so constitutes an acceptance of the Equipment as is and an acknowledgment that the Equipment was received in a clean and properly-functioning condition.

Customers agree to return all Equipment (including owner’s manuals) in good working order.  Ordinary, reasonable wear and tear is acceptable.  Excessively-damaged, unreasonably withheld, and/or lost Equipment will result in full replacement charges PLUS the original rental cost of the Equipment for the duration specified by Customer at the time Customer's order is placed.  Customers agree that all such replacement and rental charges may be charged to the credit card number provided at the time Customer's order was confirmed.  Customer warrants that he/she has the legal authority to authorize charges to such credit card number.

Customers agree to notify Boise Baby Gear, at the time the Equipment is returned, of any problems, defects, and/or damage relating to the Equipment, whether caused by Customers or not.  Specifically, Customers agree to notify Boise Baby Gear if a car seat or other Equipment was involved in an accident, whether caused by Customers or not, whether resulting in damage to the car seat or Equipment or not, and whether resulting in harm or injury to any person or not.

Boise Baby Gear is not responsible for the improper assembly and/or use of any Equipment.

Boise Baby Gear is not responsible for injuries or death relating in any way to its Equipment or services including, but not limited to, the use or misuse of its Equipment and/or the lack of proper supervision of children. 

CUSTOMERS RECOGNIZE THAT FAILURE TO PROPERLY ASSEMBLE OR USE EQUIPMENT AND/OR FAILURE TO SUPERVISE CHILDREN CAN RESULT IN INJURY OR DEATH.  Customers acknowledge that the Equipment constitutes potentially dangerous items.  Customers agree to hold Boise Baby Gear harmless and indemnify it from any and all liability associated with Customers’ use and/or their children’s use of the Equipment.  Customers also agree not to sue Boise Baby Gear for any injuries or other damages resulting from their use, or their children’s use of the Equipment.  Customers hereby voluntarily release and discharge Boise Baby Gear and their successors and assigns from any and all claims, demands, actions, suits or proceedings which Customers and/or their children may have for any and all injuries, damages, and expenses, including but not limited to all personal injuries, illnesses, and/or all damages to personal property, caused by, arising out of, or otherwise related to the use of the Equipment.

Customers agree that if Boise Baby Gear fails for any reason to fill an Order, Customer's damages will be limited to the monies paid upon confirmation of the Order.  Customers agree to not sue in an individual capacity Boise Baby Gear's owners, members, affiliates, successors and/or assigns.

Boise Baby Gear and Customers agree that, at the time an order is placed and/or confirmed, it is difficult to measure the damages that will result from irreparable damage, unreasonable withholding, and/or loss of the Equipment.  Therefore, Customers agree to pay $300.00 in "liquidated damages" for each and every piece of Equipment that is irreparably damaged, unreasonably withheld, and/or lost during any rental term.

Boise Baby Gear and Customers agree that all disputes arising under these Terms and Conditions and/or out of any agreement or transaction between Boise Baby Gear and Customers will be governed by the laws of Idaho and may be filed only in a court of competent jurisdiction in Ada County, Idaho.  Customers consent to the personal jurisdiction of all such courts and agree to accept service of process by U.S. Mail, FedEx, or any other reasonable method.

Time is expressly declared to be of the essence under these Terms and Conditions as supplemented by the Order Form submitted by Customer, and each and every covenant, term, condition, and provision contained therein.
These Terms and Conditions, as supplemented by the Order Form submitted by Customer, constitute the entire Agreement between Boise Baby Gear and Customer and there are no other promises or agreements whatsoever.
